HSA Hustings and Forum

We have a tremendously exciting week ahead of us in all things HSA-related. On Wednesday 25th November, 6PM in the forum, we'll have our hustings for the future generation of HSA board members. Prepare your best and most illuminating questions for our wonderful set of candidates:

For President: Ingrid Schulte and Jose Quintanilla

For Vice-President: Evgenija Kröker

For Treasurer: Pamela Jiménez Cárdenas

For Social Rep: Jovana Panic

On Monday 30th November, we'll have our last forum of term. In that forum we'll be presenting our proposed constitutional amendments. Please take a moment to read through them before we vote in the forum on Monday (click to download). The amendments are to enshrine our new social rep position, who will have responsibility for organising social events and for ensuring the continuity of Hertie's vibrant club community, and to change the electoral process should a president step down so that only a new president need be re-elected. Please let us know if you have any questions or seek clarifications on these amendments.

I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday,

Hertie love,

Your HSA board

NEW: Weekly Events Newsletter

In the interest of streamlining the internal email communications and reducing the email traffic to the student body, the HSA together with the Communications department have instituted a new exciting procedure of communicating internal events to the students.

From next week (Wednesday 18th November), the HSA will publish a weekly email newsletter which will detail student events and initiatives of the week. The school will also seek to consolidate internal event invitations and send them out. Therefore students will receive 2 newsletters (student and faculty initiatives) as opposed to the current plethora of emails.

We therefore request that all clubs and students send us information by Sunday midnight to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. regarding their respective events which they wish to be featured in that week’s newsletter; bearing in mind and making allowance for the duration required for sign ups. The event information should include a short description of the event (60-80 words), date, venue, time and contact information.

The events will also be featured on the HSA calendar (http://www.hertiestudentassociation.org/index.php/hsa-news/). Please note that the HSA will not send out more than one newsletter per week, so please make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information/details provided to us.

Should anything regarding your event change, the onus is on the club or the student to ensure that they communicate the change to the students on other platforms – sending emails to the entire student body will no longer be possible.

We are looking forward to your cooperation. Please do not hesitate to contact us in case of questions or feedback.
