Climbing at our club is a great opportunity to get fit and active, both mentally and physically, and at the same time to intensively engage with fellow Hertie students, as climbing is based on trust and overcoming challenges together.
Our community has a great team spirit and is open to everybody to join, no matter of your climbing experience. Club members are climbing on different levels of difficulty, suiting beginners as well as experienced climbers.
One year ago many of us just took their first steps at the climbing wall. As a group we organized workshops each semester to teach climbing techniques to the beginners and to develop our skills together. Thanks to a lot of enthusiastic members we meet for training every week in the climbing gym, even during semester breaks. Beyond regular sessions, we also had an amazing weekend trip to the rocks, where we experienced that climbing is actually much more than a regular workout at the gym.
With the new 2017 cohort we want to continue where we stopped last year and show our new fellow students - and of course interested second year students - how much fun this sport and our group are - come and try it out!
